Luljeta

Luljeta Rexhaj was born in 1973 in Trenje, near Suva Reka (Kosovo). She got married at the age of seventeen and has since lived in the village of Korishë, near the Albanian border. In April, 1999, Serbian military forces emptied the village of its population by force, to occupy it, and the 600 inhabitants had to seek refuge in the nearby mountains. They had nothing to eat and after a while they decided to try to reach Prizren by mountain paths.
