Landmine Monitor
Handicap International is one of the founding members of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL), Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in 1997. Together with its many partners, Handicap International keeps pushing for the full implementation and universalization of the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty (Ottawa Convention). The Policy Unit of Handicap International plays a key role in the Landmine Monitor, a unique and unprecendented civil-society based network that monitors and assesses the international community's response to the global landmine crisis. The Policy Unit coordinates Victim Assistance and Mine Risk Education for the Landmine Monitor.
